Outline

With works spanning from the 16th through the early 20th centuries, this exhibition presents masterpieces of European art from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world's largest museums of art, located in St. Petersburg. Bringing together eighty-nine paintings, including works by Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt, Reynolds, Renoir, Monet, Cezanne and Picasso, this exhibition features the breadth and the glory of European art for four centuries. The highlight of the show is Henri Matisse's Red Room (Harmony in Red), which is shown in Tokyo for the first time in thirty years.
