Door to Contemporary Art

The world of contemporary art is diverse and complex, where various materials and techniques are used and new expressions are born one after another. But it is also a world where you can encounter unexpected impressions and new ways of looking at things. In order to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity to encounter such contemporary art, the Section of Education & Public Programs produces the guidebook “Door to Contemporary” in conjunction with exhibitions introducing contemporary art, and distribute it free of charge to visitors to the exhibitions. The Door to Contemporary Art series, which introduces artworks and artists while explaining the trends and historical background of contemporary art in simple language, has been produced with English text in consideration of visitors from overseas.
