角川书店《月刊ASUKA》 1992–（暂停连载）
1992年在《月刊ASUKA》上开始连载。以世纪末的东京为舞台，讲述了主人公司狼神威被赋予了沉重的命运，必须为赌上地球存亡而战的超能力动作故事。故事的时代设定和连载时期均为20世纪90年代，这是日本泡沫经济崩溃、发生大规模灾害、猎奇事件等频发的年代，对于即将到来的千禧年，整个社会都隐隐弥漫着不安的情绪。《X》不仅在主题设定上契合时代潮流，无法预测的情节发展和布局周密的重重伏笔等结构编排也极其出色，毫无疑问可以称得上是CLAMP的代表作之一。1996年出品了剧场版动画，2001年播放了电视动画。
