这是一部科幻悬疑作品，讲述了主人公栩堂风疾和火群陆王住在名为绿药局的药店并在店内打工，他们利用各自拥有的不可思议的能力，接受了店长提议的“另一份兼职”。本作中几乎没有女性角色登场，故事的主轴是男性之间的关系，这在CLAMP的作品中非常少见。有别于以女性为主人公的作品群，本作中的地下氛围就是魅力所在。本作中的彩色插图是用CG绘制，这是一次全新的尝试。
