Despite their different social standings, Syaoran, a boy from the sandy the Kingdom of CLOW, and Sakura, a princess from the Kingdom of CLOW, find their peaceful everyday lives disrupted due to the schemes of Fei-Wang Reed, who aims to harness Sakura's hidden powers. As Fei-Wang steals her powers, Sakura's life force rapidly diminishes. The only way to save her is to retrieve the "feathers of memories" scattered across different worlds, and return them to her body.

With the help of Syaoran, who has a strong, unyielding heart, Kurogane, the strongest ninja from Japan, Fai, an enigmatic wizard from Seresu, and Mokona Modoki, a mysterious creature with the ability to search for the feathers of memories, Sakura slowly regains her memories with each collected feather. The group of five meets various people as they continue to travel from country to country.

Characters travel to different worlds including Hanshin Republic, the Country of Fog, Piffle Country, and Infinity, in this fantasy adventure depicted by CLAMP.
