GATE 7

Serialized in Shueisha's Jump SQ. (2010- [on hiatus])

GATE 7 is CLAMP's first work serialized in the Jump magazine line. The story unfolds in Kyoto, where an ordinary high school student with a passion for history, Chikahito Takamoto, encounters the members of the extraordinary group Urashichiken. He gets entangled in battles with supernatural beings and power struggles among individuals with special abilities, ultimately striving to protect the city. Numerous characters in the series bear the names of famous warlords of the Sengoku period (1477–1573), also known as the Warring States Period, such as Toyotomi Hidetsugu, Date Masamune, Tokugawa Iemitsu, and Akechi Mitsuhide. However, the characters' backgrounds and connections to the historical figures are not explicitly revealed in the story.
