Kazahaya Kudo and Rikuo Himura work as live-in part-timers at Green Drugstore. They use their mysterious abilities to take on another job offered by the store manager, leading to a science fiction suspense story. In contrast to other CLAMP works, LEGAL DRUG features only a few female characters. The story mainly revolves around the relationships among male characters, which drive the plot forward. What makes LEGAL DRUG unique is its underground atmosphere that distinguishes it from other CLAMP works that focus on female protagonists. In a new experiment for this work, all of the color illustrations were digitally drawn.
