MIYUKI-CHAN IN WONDERLAND

serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comic GENKi and Monthly Newtype (1993–1995)

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, this is a short comedy series featuring a sweet and innocent high school girl named Miyuki. She gets lost in various strange parallel worlds, such as Wonderland, Looking Glass Land, and Part-Time Job Land. In each world, she inexplicably ends up in different cosplay outfits, adding an element of playfulness to the stories. At the beginning of its serialization, the series had only four pages per installment. As a result, it became a full-on expression of CLAMP's personal interests, packed with their whims at the time and with the intent of delivering one-shot gags. An OVA was released in 1995, making it an unusual work that was adapted into an OVA even before being compiled into a manga volume.
