X is undeniably one of CLAMP's masterpieces, distinguished by its timely themes, unpredictable plot twists, and intricately woven foreshadowing. The story's excellent structure captures the essence of the era in which it is portrayed. In 1996, a theatrical anime adaptation was released, followed by a TV anime in 2001.
