Thank you for joining us to celebrate the 35th debut anniversary of CLAMP, a creative collective of four women who stand at the forefront of the manga scene. At this time, the National Art Center, Tokyo, is pleased to announce the opening of the CLAMP Exhibition, representing the culmination of their work.

CLAMP has transcended the boundaries of boys’, girls’, and young men’s comics, delivering grand and bold stories with captivating characters through their masterful and versatile art style to the world. Their overwhelming creativity and unique worldview have garnered extreme popularity, not only domestically but also internationally.

This exhibition is the largest original artwork exhibition in CLAMP’s history. It features a total of 23 works, from their commercial magazine debut RG VEDA to their latest work, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. We have structured the exhibition to showcase the charm of CLAMP’s diverse works across various themes while delving into their 35-year history using relevant materials. We hope you will pick up the messages woven throughout their works by exploring the origins and challenges of CLAMP’s creative endeavors, crafted through their unparalleled collaborative style.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have graciously supported the planning and execution of this exhibition, including the esteemed members of CLAMP who have generously provided their cooperation and support, as well as all the sponsors and collaborators.
