Art Triangle Roppongi: The New Area for Art

In the bustling Roppongi district of Tokyo, The National Art Center, Tokyo, the Suntory Museum of Art, and the Mori Art Museum mark three points of a triangle. These three museums are planning various collaborations with their sights on further transforming Roppongi into an area that knows its art. Please take the time to enjoy this artistic stroll, part of the charm of the new Roppongi.

ATRo Saving!

Art Triangle Roppongi has introduced a discount ticket system "ATRo Saving". Visitors retaining an entrance ticket stub of an on going exhibition at The National Art Center, Tokyo, Suntory Museum of Art or Mori Art Museum are entitled to a reduced entry price at the other two galleries.
*ATRo Saving applies to exhibitions listed in this Calendar only.

The National Art Center, Tokyo

With its eye-catching, giant wave like glass façade, which flows with the greenery that surrounds it, is the fifth national art institution in Japan. Making great use of its vast gallery space, it holds many exhibitions mostly focusing on modern contemporary art. Complete with an art library, museum shop, restaurant and café, it is an inner-city relax spot where you can enjoy art in a relaxed manner.

MORI ART MUSEUM

Since its opening in 2003, as a symbol of cultural in Roppongi Hills, the Museum offers a vast variety of art exhibitions mainly focusing on modern art, as well as various public programs allowing people to develop a close relation to art . Also, with its late night hours and conjoining observation deck, it offers a new way of enjoying art.

SUNTORY MUSEUM of ART

Since its founding in 1961, the Suntory Museum of Art holds various exhibitions presenting collections comprised of pieces that maintain the Museums basic philosophy of “Art in Life”. Designed by Kuma Kengo, the museums` architecture has a very traditional Japanese atmosphere and has within it a tea room, café, and shops that can be enjoyed by children and adults.
